Figo Saleh
I'm a builder and investor at the intersection of crypto, AI, and consumer products, currently based in Hong Kong.
Most recently, I spent close to two years at IOSG Ventures, where I built and led the Kickstarter Program from the ground up. I wrote first checks into early-stage founders, traveled globally to meet teams, ran workshops, and judged demo days. Seeing hundreds of projects from the investor seat gave me a sharp sense of what works, what doesn't, and where the real opportunities are emerging.
Before venture, I worked as a remote fullstack engineer, building tools and products across crypto and AI. One highlight was being a core contributing engineer to OurNetwork, a crypto research newsletter focused on on-chain analytics.
Now I'm back to building, experimenting with product ideas across AI, onchain consumer apps, and prediction markets. I believe the best way to understand the frontier is to ship things on it.
My broader curiosities span deep learning, robotics, neurotechnology, and market dynamics. I'm drawn to anything where complex systems meet real-world impact.
What I'm Thinking
AI has collapsed the distance between idea and prototype. What used to take a team and months now takes one person and a weekend. Speed is the moat. Not speed for its own sake, but the speed of someone who pays attention, iterates honestly, and ships before it feels ready.
But the faster building gets, the more everything else matters. Taste, judgment, the willingness to put yourself out there before you have it all figured out. Tools are abundant now. What's scarce is the person behind the work. Why you, why this, why now. That's not something you can automate.
